Here, There and Everywhere

A lot has been going in the past number of weeks. A few posts back I talked about our experience in the emergency room when we found that Marsha had gall stones. Well, the next week (on the 6th) Marsha had her gall bladder out. She went in the morning around 10 and I brought her home by about 9 pm or so that night. A week later she was in Chicago for a Pampered Chef conference. Pretty amazing! Laparoscopic surgery is quite amazing. Anyway, its been almost a month and she is doing quite well.

The big news is that yesterday Avi went to camp. The bus was to leave at 1 pm from the JCC in Whippany. Marsha and her mom took Avi up and met my mom for lunch before bringing Avi to the bus. Of course the bus was late, but not too bad. It arrived by about 1:15. The moment they opened the doors, Avi ran on the bus and took a seat! He was so excited about camp, he just wanted to get on the bus and go.

The weather got quite bad soon after they left. On the way home, Marsha had to pull over because she could not see out the window. I called the camp to check in a couple of hours later but the bus had not arrived, but I was told that they spoke to the counselors on the bus and they were fine. A few hours later, they called me back to let me know Avi arrived. They take photos of each kid when they get to camp, and here is Avi’s photo.

Looks good! He is clearly happy to be there. The camp posts photos on their web site by 8 pm or so each night. Today, Avi did some climbing and came down on a zip line. Here are a couple of photos

Sat night I will be getting together with some USY Friends, and I am looking forward to that, and hopefully on Sunday we will finally see the Harry Potter movie, so it should be a good weekend.
